Mayor Awa advised that he attended the Nunavut Roundtable on Poverty Reduction (NRPR) which was held at the Aqsarniit Hotel.

Councillor Stevenson thanked staff for the completion of the crosswalk and signal lights by the hospital and boarding home. He noted that there may be other areas that will require crosswalk signal lights for the safety of residents.

Alternate Deputy Mayor Flaherty also expressed thanks regarding the crosswalk and signal lights. He noted that the location of the signal light access button is on a pile of rocks and asked that this be fixed for easier access.
