Methusalah Kunuk
Councillor Kunuk recognized the organizers of the Toonik Tyme festival. He noted that the event has been held for many years and is an exciting festival with traditional Inuit games and activities. He indicated that throughout the years, various special performers from outside of Nunavut have attended the event.

Councillor Kunuk noted the importance of continuing Toonik Tyme and wanted to better support the organizers, as many people from Nunavut attend the event. He stated that Toonik Tyme would be celebrating 60 years in 2025.

Alternate Deputy Mayor Flaherty noted that over 300 people would be attending the Nunavut Mining Symposium being held in Iqaluit from April 23 to April 25 and thanked Mayor Awa for speaking at the event. Alternate Deputy Mayor Flaherty spoke about the importance of supporting the annual mining symposium in the future.
