Alternate Deputy Mayor Flaherty asked how increases in the aquatic centre’s $4.4-million Recreation and Cultural budget could be mitigated.

Councillor Tilley advised that after much reflection, he has decided to seek help for alcohol use in early 2025. He indicated that this was an important step to improve his health and well-being. Councillor Tilley indicated that the decision to seek help was for personal growth and he was grateful for support and understanding while navigating the process. He commented that obtaining help was not an easy step, but it would make a positive life impact.
