- Mr. Tumilty advised that the property is federally owned and is being leased to the Tundra Buddies Daycare Society. He explained that under the federal government Payments in Lieu of Taxes Act, the daycare does not qualify and is subject to tax on the property.

Mayor Awa pointed out that the first Indigenous Veterans Day was held on November 8 to commemorate the service of First Nations, Inuit and Métis members of the Canadian Armed Forces. He commented on the importance of recognizing Indigenous people who were involved in the war.
