Deputy Mayor Smith acknowledged February 28 as Pink Shirt Day, as a day to stand up against bullying and to show support.

Councillor Nattaq expressed concern regarding increased taxi fares and the way some taxi drivers treat passengers. He went on to say that taxis were providing a service and it was important that drivers were kind to passengers and passengers felt safe when travelling in taxis.
